ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - February 22, 2013) - Perma-Fix Environmental Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: PESI) today announced that it has been awarded a task order by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for technical services at the West Valley Demonstration Project, West Valley, New York. The task order has a three-year performance period with a $1.3 million value.
The task order will be issued from the Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) master contract, firm-fixed-price and time and materials. Under the task order, Perma-Fix will perform technical services for the data management system that will be used to support decommissioning activities at the West Valley Demonstration Project.
