FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Feb. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- This morning Broward County Commissioner Barbara Sharief will propose to the County Board of Commissioner's that a 20+year FL LAW be overturned.

The Florida statute at issue has been in effect for over two decades, and has worked for the citizens of our state. To ask legislators to recede from a statutory policy that has been proven to work is a waste of time and money. If the statute were overturned, attempting to enforce a BSL (Breed Specific Legislation) type state policy would be unwieldy and prohibitively costly.  BSL is dangerous, outdated and has been proven to be ineffective.
