Liaison Healthcare, a global provider of secure cloud-based integration and data management services and solutions, announced today that its Master Person Index (MPI) and Patient Document Repository (PDR) offerings have successfully completed testing of 14 integration profiles with 90 test partners during the 2013 Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) North American Connectathon. The two solutions are part of the company’s Healthcare Information as a Service solution suite designed to help health systems facilitate information exchange across the continuum of care as they move toward creating accurate and complete patient profiles.
As a result of the testing and validation, Liaison Healthcare is recognized as a provider of standards-based systems and solutions that enable better connectivity between clinicians, patients and families for more seamless and transparent patient care. In the ever-changing environment of healthcare, tools and resources such as the ones tested at IHE Connectathon empower providers and patients to have access to secure, private, quality data in an efficient manner.
“The annual IHE Connectathon is a great opportunity for our developers to collaborate and test our solutions in a live environment, quickly identifying any barriers to meeting IHE standards,” said Naveen Sarabu, Director of Product Management at Liaison Healthcare. “The success of this opportunity will help organizations ease the challenge of meeting Meaningful Use Stage 2 and ACO initiatives, all of which require enhanced data connectivity and interoperability.”
IHE’s 2013 North American Connectathon was sponsored by Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) USA in collaboration with IHE Canada. The event, held in Chicago during the week of January 31, brought together more than 150 healthcare IT vendors and 600 engineers for face-to-face interoperability testing. Vendors had the opportunity to assess how well their systems conform to IHE Profiles — standards-based specifications for meeting real-world healthcare needs.
