Tyson Foods, Inc. (NYSE: TSN) shares fell 3.7 percent on over 16.2 million shares traded Tuesday to close at $22.40 a share. The company warned that the second fiscal quarter "has been more challenging than anticipated due to margin compression in its Beef and Pork segments," but remains optimistic for the full year.

Vitamin Shoppe Inc. (NYSE: VSI) shares declined 18.6 percent on more than twelve times the average daily volume Tuesday to close at $51.44 a share. The company reported net sales totaled $218.9 million in the fiscal fourth quarter. Vitamin Shoppe reported a 5.2% comparable sales growth in the fourth quarter, compared to an 8.2 percent growth for the full year 2012.
