Centriq Clinic Earns ONC HIT Certification

Healthland, America's market leader of healthcare information technology solutions for rural hospitals, today announced that Centriq® Clinic v.10.3 is now certified to support the Meaningful Use measures that qualify eligible providers for incentive payments by demonstrating Meaningful Use of an electronic health record (EHR).

Healthland Centriq® Clinic 10.3 is compliant with the ONC 2011 Edition criteria and was certified as a Complete EHR on January 30, 2013 by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ACB, in accordance with the applicable eligible provider (EP) certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The ONC 2011 Edition criteria support the Stage 1 Meaningful Use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

With the certification of Centriq Clinic 10.3, all of Healthland’s inpatient and ambulatory solutions are now certified to support Stage 1 Meaningful Use*. A recent decision by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) means that Centriq Clinic can now help even more rural providers attest to Meaningful Use and qualify for incentive reimbursements. That CMS decision extends eligibility for the EHR Incentive Program to rural clinic providers using Method II billing through a hospital. We believe this certification supports the significant momentum of Centriq in the rural healthcare market and meets the client expectations set by Healthland for Meaningful Use reporting and attestation by eligible providers.

“As rural providers move toward a healthcare delivery model that prioritizes community wellness and preventive care, we are providing the clinical and financial solutions to help them succeed,” said Michael Karaman, senior vice president for product at Healthland. “Centriq Clinic delivers the tools and functionality eligible providers need to extend that model to the rural clinic. All of our Centriq solutions are built on the same database so patient information is only entered once, and is easily accessible to providers across the full spectrum of community care, including the clinic, hospital, emergency department, long term care and home health settings. Having one patient chart that makes all patient information easily accessible to health providers in the community improves efficiency and the delivery of quality, informed care.”

Centriq Clinic is an integrated ambulatory solution for managing patient care in the rural clinic. Developed in collaboration with rural clinicians, Centriq is easy to learn and use and aligned with rural clinic workflows.

“CCHIT congratulates companies successfully achieving EHR technology certification,” said Alisa Ray, executive director, CCHIT. “These companies are now able to make their products available to providers wishing to adopt health IT to demonstrate Meaningful Use and earn Stage 1 incentives.”

The ONC HIT Certification Program certifies that Complete EHRs meet all of the 2011 Edition criteria and EHR Modules meet one or more—but not all—of the criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for either eligible provider or hospital technology.

Healthland Centriq Clinic’s certification number is CC-2011-411920-1.

ONC HIT certification conferred by CCHIT does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Healthland Centriq Clinic 10.3 is certified as a 2011 Edition Complete Ambulatory EHR and includes the following clinical quality measures: NQF 0059 PQRI 1, NQF 0064 PQRI 2, NQF 0061 PQRI 3, NQF 0041 PQRI 110, NQF 0062 PQRI 119, NQF 0421 PQRI 128, NQF 0013, NQF 0024, NQF 0028, NQF 0038, NQF 0575.

The additional software Healthland Centriq Clinic 10.3 relied upon to demonstrate compliance includes: Medi-Span® version 13.1 and Rcopia™ version 2.02.

Healthland Clinical Information System (CIS) v9.5, Healthland Physician Practice Documentation (PPD) v9.5, and Healthland Centriq® v10 are each ONC HIT certified as a Complete EHR. For full certification details, please visit http://www.healthland.com/news__events/achievements/.
