The men, including Graham's son Franklin, who was also present, engaged in a 45-minute discussion on a wide range of topics, including Gov. McCrory's leadership as seven-term mayor of Charlotte before being elected to state office. Gov. McCrory spoke of the evangelist's impact on his home state, and recalled a visit with Mr. Graham on the platform of the 1996 Charlotte Crusade in what was then Ericsson Stadium.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the men prayed together for the Governor, his family and the state.
