The technology of social will get its due at this year's Collective, with a special focus on features that drive adoption and engagement. A Hackathon is being held on Tuesday and Wednesday letting attendees work directly with NewsGator developers to envision, build, and present an extension to Social Sites in just one day. Extensions will be judged and winners may be included in a future release of Social Sites.
The agenda will also include a speed round of pitches from partners highlighting extensions they've built on Social Sites to help drive adoption and engagement. An Experience Lounge will also run all day Wednesday, giving attendees an opportunity to interact with and offer feedback on the user experience within Social Sites.
The Collective will wrap-up on Thursday with a two part look at current features and the road map ahead for Social Sites delivered by Brian Kellner, NewsGator's chief technology officer.
