Two new innovative products designed by ETL's 25-strong team of R&D experts and built in the UK to be exhibited for the first time in Dubai
Leading British-based global designer and manufacturer of RF distribution equipment, ETL Systems, is continuing to expand its growing range of RF products into the Middle East.
New projects have also been agreed in recent months with Doha headquartered global broadcaster Al Jazeera, also BSkyB owned Sky News Arabia and North Africa pay TV channel Orbit Showtime Network.
The new projects include significant upgrades to L-band matrix systems and the installation of a 32x32 Enigma Matrix in the UAE. They are helping to drive exceptional growth for ETL in the region.
ETL has a long history of designing equipment recognised internationally for superior quality and a very personal one-to-one service offering. Two new products for the region will be exhibited at CABSAT; the 64x64 Vortex L-band Matrix and the Alto L-band Amplifier.
The company's award-winning designs benefit from a quarter of a century of experience in the RF distribution sector, with all new products and innovations being developed and built by its growing team of R&D experts in the UK.
The wider product range includes L-Band matrix routers, switches, splitters/dividers and combiners covering DC-40GHz. Reliability, resilience, and RF performance are the core customer requirements which drive ETL's product innovation and development.
New Demonstrations for CABSAT 2013
ETL Systems' 64x64 Vortex L-band Matrix
The 64x64 Vortex Matrix Router (Model VTX-10) is part of ETL's "V series" matrix family. It is a high performance solution for frequent signal routing changes and designed for busy teleports and MCR's where rack space is short. Other matrices in the V family include the 16x16 Victor Matrix, 16x32 Valiant Matrix and the impressive 128x128 Vulcan Matrix.
Vortex has 64x64 inputs and outputs enabling it to work as a distributive switch matrix or router for downlinking L-band signals or combining multiple technologies into one product. Its remote control access is via signal or Ethernet port with SNMP, web browser interface and colour XGA touch screen, enabling full control and monitoring of signals. CABSAT will be the first opportunity to see the 64x64 Vortex model in the Middle East.
ETL Systems' Alto Amplifier
One of the newest members of ETL's range of L-band Amplifiers is the Alto series and it will be on display for the first time at CABSAT 2013. The Alto family includes 4, 8 and 16 module options with variable gain and can be remotely controlled via Ethernet and web browser interface. The design of the amplifier is modular, allowing hot-swap of amplifiers and power supplies, and can be controlled locally and monitored via the front panel display with simplified push buttons. It is designed for the front end RF chain and provides amplification and slope compensation from cable loss for teleports and TVRO and head-ends.
