"Pace of Work Doesn't Now Match the Urgency of the Threat…Consequences of Inaction are Potentially Catastrophic"
WASHINGTON, March 6, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, George Shultz, Bill Perry, Henry Kissinger and Sam Nunn called for urgent attention on the nuclear threat and outlined key areas for President Obama and world leaders to address. With the 4th anniversary of President Obama's Prague speech fast approaching in April, this non-partisan call appeared in a new op-ed in today's Wall Street Journal, according to the Nuclear Threat Initiative.
This is the fifth op-ed published by Shultz, Perry, Kissinger and Nunn in The Wall Street Journal identifying practical steps toward the goal of a world free of nuclear weapons. Their first op-ed appeared in January 2007.
