TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 03/07/13 -- Continental Gold Limited (TSX:CNL)(OTCQX:CGOOF) ("Continental" or the "Company") is pleased to announce today that Gary Barket has been appointed to its Board of Directors. The appointment of Mr. Barket fills the board vacancy created from the resignation of a director announced on November 6, 2012.
Mr. Barket is an attorney in private practice in Little Rock, Arkansas with over 40 years of experience in securities and business transactions and litigation. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Arkansas and a Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law, and was admitted to the State Bar of Arkansas in 1971. Mr. Barket was formerly a member of the Company's Board of Directors from September 2007 to March 2010, where he served on the Stock Option and Compensation Committee, Audit Committee and Corporate Governance Committee.
