Z2Live, creators of console-quality free-to-play mobile games with epic storylines such as Battle Nations™, Trade Nations™, and MetalStorm: Online™, today announced new additions of industry veterans to the Z2 team: Glen Pryer, Vice President of Operations; Adam Flanders, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing; and Shanis Windland, Senior Director of Finance.

Pryer, formerly the director of global planning at Blizzard Entertainment and vice president at 38 Studios, will oversee live operations and business intelligence. Flanders, a seasoned mobile gaming executive previously with Glu Mobile and THQ Mobile, will oversee the company’s business development, marketing and publishing efforts. Windland, formerly of Big Fish Games, will help oversee the company’s finance functions.

In addition, the company announced its new name, Z2, and brand identity, including the launch of a new website at www.Z2.com, reframing the company as a creator of epic mobile entertainment.

“While the name of the company may have changed, our passion for creating console-quality free-to-play mobile games has not,” said Lou Fasulo, Chief Executive Officer of Z2. “Our new name reflects our shift from creating a game platform to developing and publishing some of the industry’s deepest and most engaging mobile titles.”

Originally founded in 2009 to create an Xbox Live-style game community for the iOS software platform, Z2’s platform would enable multiplayer social gaming across a plethora of mobile devices and wireless networks. In 2010, the company went on to reinvent itself as a development and publishing studio building free-to-play games with MMO elements beginning with its first title Trade Nations.
