Plone and Drupal: Different Approaches, Different Results
paul.nowak wrote: Matt, thanks for the comments. I made an error on the version of Plone. It's 2.5 Plone running on Zope 2.9x. In regards to the additional products, we have a skin installed and we have a product that we had custom developed for us that connects to a PostgreSQL database. We've looked at slow PostgreSQL queries causing problems and have not been able to find an issue. We've also tested for the case where the PostgreSQL server is down and have not been able to create an issue. We therefor...

Dimatix Materials Printer Receives Nano 50 Award for Its Significant Impact on the State-of-the-Art in Nanotechnology
Annual Awards From Nanotech Briefs Magazine Select the 'Best of the Best'

By: PR Newswire
Aug. 9, 2006 12:00 PM

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Aug. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- FUJIFILM Dimatix, Inc., a leading provider of commercial and industrial ink jet products, today announced that Nanotech Briefs(R) magazine honored its Dimatix Materials Printer (DMP) with a Nano 50 Award in the product category. Award recipients will be acknowledged during NASA Tech Briefs' National Nano Engineering Conference in Boston, November 9-10, 2006.

"The winners of the Nano 50 Awards are the best of the best -- the innovative people and technologies that will continue to move nanotechnology to key mainstream markets," said Linda L. Bell, publisher of Nanotech Briefs.

"The next era of printable materials will be necessary for the continued advancement of nanotechnology, especially in the areas of electronics and medicine," said Jan Sumerel, Ph.D., manager of biomedical sciences, FUJIFILM Dimatix. "As a result, non-contact deposition of nanoparticles in their native state is at the forefront of today's research. To support this research, FUJIFILM Dimatix developed a materials deposition printer that can distribute nanoparticles in a highly precise and repeatable fashion. With the DMP, researchers can rapidly develop nanoinks and the manufacturing processes that employ these inks."

Nanotech Briefs is a digital monthly magazine from the publishers of NASA Tech Briefs that highlights engineering breakthroughs in nanotechnology and MEMS. This is the second annual Nanotech Briefs Nano 50 Awards since the magazine launched in January 2004.

About the Dimatix Materials Printer

The Dimatix Materials Printer is a bench-top precision digital materials deposition system with versatile capabilities. It is the world's first complete, low-cost solution for high-precision jetting of functional fluids -- including nanoparticle-based metallic and organic materials -- on any type of surface, including plastic, glass, metal sheets, silicon, membranes, gels, thin films and paper. The groundbreaking system provides an easy-to-use, cost-effective tool for corporations and research institutes to quickly develop and test processes and prototypes, as well as conduct low-volume manufacturing of a broad range of products -- from flexible circuits, RFID tags and displays to DNA arrays, optical lenses and wearable electronics.

By directly printing on their own substrates, customers can rapidly develop prototypes and keep process technology in-house. The printer's small size and low price make it convenient and easy to use and own. The user-friendly cartridge system allows customers to perform print and deposition functions without having to become fluid jet experts. The DMP is a turnkey system that enables customers to develop new materials and products, and bring them to market faster, easier and at a significantly lower cost.
