FOSTER CITY, Calif., March 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Sony Network Entertainment International and Sony Computer Entertainment America, today announced that users in the United States can now browse and watch Crackle's full suite of ad-supported full-length movies, television series and original programming through the PlayStation®Store (PS Store) for the PlayStation®3 (PS3™) computer entertainment system.
While Crackle's stand-alone app found in the XMB™ (XrossMediaBar) will remain available, integrating the content in PS Store provides users with easier search and discovery of content.
The PlayStation Store, which was recently redesigned, offers a rich user interface with easy search and powerful content discovery. Prior to the Crackle integration, the PS Store already featured a global catalog of more than 20,000 pieces of game-related content, including downloadable games, add-ons and themes, and over 150,000 premium videos and TV shows including the latest Hollywood blockbusters, TV episodes which are commercial free and available the day after they air, and exclusive features only available on the PS Store.
The latest content added to the Crackle catalog that is now available includes great movies like Gattaca, Kung Fu Hustle, Snatch, and National Security, as well as TV episodes of Rescue Me and Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.
