SnS And Zipz Designed Wine Glass Revolutionizing Wine By The Glass

ZIPZ offers premium wine in elegant packaging

NEW YORK, April 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- SnS Design (www.snsdesign.com), a woman-owned industrial design consultancy located in New York City, was selected to help design a unique single-serve wine glass. The glass is made from high quality PET (polyethylene terephthalate) plastic that looks and feels like traditional glassware, but is safe to use in places where glass is not an option, including arenas, stadiums, resort pool areas and the beach. (Manufacturers use PET plastic to package products because of its strength, thermo-stability and transparency. Customers choose PET because it is inexpensive, lightweight, resealable, shatter-resistant and recyclable.)

Each Zipz glass is covered in a patented Clean Wrap™ that keeps the wine fresh and the glass clean, making Zipz ideal for use in public venues. Both the Zipz glass and Clean Wrap™ are 100% recyclable.

Zipz Z Selections is a proprietary collection of premium California wines including Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon varietals. Additionally, Zipz has partnered with Fetzer to provide Crimson Red Blend and Quartz White Blend in the Zipz glass.  Zipz wines retail for about $4 each or $14 for a four-pack. Zipz will also be available at select Major League Baseball stadiums across the country.

According to Nisha Sawhney, President and CEO of SnS Design, enjoying Zipz is easy. "I worked with Zipz CEO J. Henry Scott to design an elegant, traditional looking glass, for stylish wine drinking.  All you have to do is pull the tab to tear the wrap, remove the lid and snap it onto the bottom, then peel off the seal and enjoy your wine anywhere and anytime," she said.

According to Sawhney, it took almost ten months to conduct the research, product design, manufacturing files, product prototype and testing, select a manufacturer and prepare packaging, logo graphics, icons and other collateral materials. "It was a pleasure working with J. Henry Scott, Pat Scire and the Zipz team to help transform their idea into an exciting innovation to be enjoyed by wine lovers anywhere," Sawhney concluded.

"Nisha was a great partner throughout the design process, helping us take the Zipz glass from a concept to reality. Through extensive research and testing, we ultimately landed on a design that allows wine to be enjoyed in unexpected places with the elegant and sophisticated feel wine lovers are accustomed to," said J. Henry Scott, CEO of Zipz.

What do a firewall and a fortress have in common? They are no longer strong enough to protect the valuables housed inside. Like the walls of an old fortress, the cracks in the firewall are allowing the bad guys to slip in - unannounced and unnoticed. By the time these thieves get in, the damage is already done and the network is already compromised. Intellectual property is easily slipped out the back door leaving no trace of forced entry. If we want to reign in on these cybercriminals, it's hig...
We are reaching the end of the beginning with WebRTC, and real systems using this technology have begun to appear. One challenge that faces every WebRTC deployment (in some form or another) is identity management. The term culture has had a polarizing effect among DevOps supporters. Some propose that culture change is critical for success with DevOps, but are remiss to define culture. Some talk about a DevOps culture but then reference activities that could lead to culture change and there are those that talk about culture change as a set of behaviors that need to be adopted by those in IT. There is no question that businesses successful in adopting a DevOps mindset have seen departmental culture change, ...

WebRTC defines no default signaling protocol, causing fragmentation between WebRTC silos.
