RENO, NEVADA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 08/17/06 -- EPOD International Inc. (the "Company,"
"EPOD") (OTCBB: EPOI) (FRANKFURT: EDU), a Grid-Integrated, eco-power
utility and electric power systems provider, announces the Company has
entered into a 10-megawatt solar power sale and joint-venture agreement.
Management announces the Company has entered into an agreement to sell ten
(10) one-megawatt turn-key solar power systems for the Ontario, Canada
market, with an installed value of CAD$70 million (USD$62.7 million). Under
the terms of the agreement, EPOD is to receive a management contract and
will retain a 20% interest in the installations. Construction and
installation of the systems is to begin immediately and is anticipated to
require up to 36 months to complete.
EPOD's joint-venture partner, Mill Creek Developments, a Kelowna, British
Columbia-based real estate development firm, will own 80% of the equity in
the installations.
