MINNEAPOLIS, MN -- (Marketwired) -- 05/07/13 -- Spring has brought some big changes to leadership at the Minneapolis Marriott West hotel. While this Minneapolis suburb hotel was sad to see its former general manager go, they're happy he'll be taking his talents to another Marriott property. Plus, it also allowed the hotel to bring in a fresh face to fill the general manager position.
Former general manager Michael Clark is now the managing director of The Depot Minneapolis Complex, which is coincidentally where it all began for him. In 2004, he started at The Depot Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel as a banquet manager before moving on to be the general manager at the Minneapolis Marriott West in 2011. After two years at this Minneapolis hotel near downtown, he's excited to take on a new challenge.
With Clark leaving this Lake Minnetonka hotel near downtown, it left a space to be filled in the general manager position, and the Minneapolis Marriott West hotel found a well-qualified replacement in Lori Geiwitz. She began her career with CSM Lodging in 1998 as director of training. In 2003, she and Clark crossed paths at The Depot Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, where she was general manager until 2011. She then took on the general manager role at the Courtyard Minneapolis Bloomington.
At the Courtyard Minneapolis Bloomington, Geiwitz had a significant and positive impact on associate satisfaction survey scores, a result of her focus on staff development, hotel appearance and technology. In her time there, three employees went through the manager-in-training program and found permanent positions in the company.

The major cloud platforms defy a simple, side-by-side analysis. Each of the major IaaS public-cloud platforms offers their own unique strengths and functionality. Options for on-site private cloud are diverse as well, and must be designed and deployed while taking existing legacy architecture and infrastructure into account. Then the reality is that most enterprises are embarking on a hybrid cloud...

When you set off to build an app that will change the world, designing your system architecture to be reliable and scalable is important but the stark reality is that, for your MVP, you probably had a “need for speed” (of development).
