Prior to joining Smart Payment Solutions, Durick spent 10 years helping to build the National Check Network (NCN) now owned and operated by ECHO.

Formerly an independent consultant for Colorado-based Rocky Mountain Retail Systems, Durick recruited, supported, installed and trained collection agencies and independent sales organizations on remote, stand-alone check verification software as well as how to use and sell NCN. Durick helped pilot some of the first electronic-check conversion programs using the NCN system for front-end authorization of these point-of-sale conversion transactions. He helped more than two-dozen companies convert to electronically generated checks at the point of sale. Such companies include EZCheck, Global eTelecom, EFT Network, and many others. Durick joined Rocky Mountain Retail Systems as operations manager where he oversaw all functions related to the support and service of the NCN check verification system.
