Plone and Drupal: Different Approaches, Different Results
paul.nowak wrote: Matt, thanks for the comments. I made an error on the version of Plone. It's 2.5 Plone running on Zope 2.9x. In regards to the additional products, we have a skin installed and we have a product that we had custom developed for us that connects to a PostgreSQL database. We've looked at slow PostgreSQL queries causing problems and have not been able to find an issue. We've also tested for the case where the PostgreSQL server is down and have not been able to create an issue. We therefor...

TI Customers Debut Slim DLP(R) HDTV to Meet Consumer Demands for Enhanced Style and Easy Wall-Mounting
LED-Based DLP HDTVs Now Available at Retail - DLP TVs with 1080p Resolution Continue to Lead Large-Screen HD Market

By: PR Newswire
Sep. 14, 2006 11:55 AM

DENVER, Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas Instruments' (TI) customers today introduced slim DLP HDTVs, a new category of HDTV for consumers that want amazing picture and design, with the first public U.S. demonstration at CEDIA EXPO 2006. Slim DLP HDTV technology reduces television depths to enable wall-mounting solutions. The combination of stylish 10" thin designs and a weight nearly half of flat-panel solutions and a brilliant image -- DLP HDTV can easily be placed in a variety of room settings and environments. This new category is uniquely enabled by TI's latest generation chipset's which were specifically designed to create thin stylish designs. The first slim DLP HDTV will be available from Samsung later this year.

First demonstrated at this year's CES, the first LED-based 1080p DLP HDTVs from Samsung are now shipping with units from NuVision expected later this fall. DLP HDTVs with an LED light source generate superior color performance, and combined with the inherent speed of DLP technology, a color refresh rate up to 48x the standard TV frame rate. LED technology also increases the color saturation to nearly 140% of the NTSC TV standard, provides Instant On/Off functionality, and replaces a traditional bulb with a long-lasting light source. LED-based prototype DLP TVs were first shown at the 2006 International CES, with the Samsung HL-S5679W winning "Best in Show" in CNET's video category.

According to The NPD Group, DLP was the number one selling 1080p TV technology in July 2006 with 57 percent of total U.S. 1080p TV sales. "DLP technology is inside 1 out of every 5 big-screen sets sold in the US. To grow further, we continue to integrate new innovations, such as LED and slim, which enable DLP customers to create advanced, stylish and award-winning HDTV product lineups," said Adam Kunzman, Business Manager, DLP HDTV Products, Texas Instruments. "LED, slim and TI's BrilliantColor color processing technology are driving DLP HDTV market adoption -- and consumers have more than 100 DLP models to choose from when looking for the best HD experience in the living room."

DLP HDTVs are available from leading manufacturers including HP, LG, Mitsubishi, NuVision, Panasonic, Philips, RCA, Samsung and Toshiba. CEDIA attendees can view the new slim and LED-based DLP HDTVs at the TI DLP Products booth (#347).
