DAYTON, Ohio, Sept. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Standard Register celebrated the opening of its new facility, Standard Register de Mexico, in Monterrey, Mexico, today. The plant is designed to increase customer support to businesses that have manufacturing operations in Mexico.
"By localizing the supply chain for companies based in Mexico, Standard Register provides customers with a one-stop shop for industrial labels and some on-demand print products, as well as access to an extensive distribution network that services all major industrial areas of Mexico," said Tom Furey, vice president and general manager of Standard Register's Document and Label Solutions division. Standard Register de Mexico, a wholly-owned international subsidiary of Standard Register, will have a 30,000-square-foot production and service facility that will provide label printing, warehousing, kitting and digital on-demand printing. The plan is to employ approximately 30 employees, including a bilingual support staff, as business at the facility continues to grow.
