Mike Grehan, Global VP of Content at Incisive Media, Publisher of Search Engine Watch and ClickZ, and Producer of the SES International Conference Series, said, “We’re excited to have Google’s Patrick Thomas as our morning keynote speaker. He is a specialist on Google’s User Policy team, where he is the policy lead for Search. In this role, he oversees the development of policies for Google’s suite of search products. Prior to Google, he was a senior advisor for international trade, technology and IP policy at the British Embassy in Washington, DC. He holds a master's degree in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and a bachelor's degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.”

Grehan added, “The title of Patrick’s morning keynote at SES San Francisco is: ‘Design Your Own Search Engine: Lessons from Tough Calls on Content at Google.’ He will tackle the question: ‘What would you do if you were charge of your own search engine?’ In an interactive panel, he will walk through some of the tough calls and difficult policy decisions you would need to think about as you try to organize trillions of web pages online.”

SES San Francisco 2013 is offering an early-bird savings of up to $300 for attendees who register for a conference pass by Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013.
