Damballa, the experts in advanced threat protection, today announced the inception of a Customer Advisory Board and the appointment of Ron Wilson as vice president of customer success, overseeing the development and satisfaction of Damballa’s rapidly growing base of enterprise and ISP customers.
The Damballa Customer Advisory Board will bring together customers and partners who rely on Advanced Threat Detection to mitigate their business risks. The primary mission of the Advisory Board is to foster open communication about industry, market, and business trends around Advanced Threat Detection and the resulting impact on the Damballa Failsafe solution. The Advisory Board will play a vital role in shaping Damballa strategy, product development, customer support, and service delivery. Members will represent a wide spectrum of industries, business models, and are at various stages of IT security maturity.
Wilson joins Damballa from Compuware, where he was Director of Strategy and Business Development, responsible for developing the strategy and go-to-market plans for Compuware's global ISV partners and their ecosystems. He joined Compuware in 2009, and previously led Product Management for their $180 million Application Performance Management business. Prior to Compuware, Wilson held leadership roles at Mercury Interactive, where he led global operations and security, and rolled out a global support center, and at consulting firms Burwood Group and Calence. In these organizations, Ron started new professional services practice areas including Security and IT Service Management.
“Ron has significant experience growing businesses with the highest levels of customer satisfaction, from start ups, to the largest, multi-billion dollar software companies,” said David Scholtz, CEO of Damballa. “In addition, he has been in our customers’ shoes, running IT and security operations for a global company, including hiring a CISO and building out a global customer support organization. We are thrilled to have someone with such a deep understanding of how to make customers successful join our team as we continue to see accelerated demand for our advanced threat detection solutions.”
“In speaking with Damballa’s Fortune 1000 clients, it’s clear that companies are embracing a new paradigm of threat protection, focused on reducing their time between infection and detection, and enabling their staff to more effectively identify and remediate their highest-priority infections,” said Wilson. “I am pleased to launch the Customer Advisory Board to facilitate the success of our growing customer base and to join Damballa at such a critical time in the company’s growth. I look forward to enabling these organizations to best utilize their resources to address the shifting threat landscape.”
Wilson graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Accounting and Finance.
