Kaazing, the leading provider of enterprise web and mobile communication for live data delivery and creator of HTML5 WebSocket, today announced that the company will showcase its web communication platform to leading cable television executives at this week’s CableLabs Summer Conference 2013 in Keystone, Colorado. Kaazing is one of a select group of technology providers invited to take part in the conference’s Innovation Showcase.
Jonas Jacobi, Kaazing CEO, Peter Moskovits, Head of Real-Time Solutions, and Ed Gower, Solutions Architect, will present to several hundred executives from the world’s leading cable television operators, including representatives from Comcast, Time Warner, and Cox Communications. Jacobi, Moskovits, and Gower will highlight specific ways that Kaazing’s powerful web and mobile communication platform can help cable television providers take advantage of emerging new technologies that enable greater interactivity and connectivity with objects in our daily lives through the “Internet of Things.” The cable companies’ broadband networks now have unique opportunities to deliver on this next wave of technology.
“The Internet of Things is fast becoming the next tech revolution, on pace to become a 14 billion dollar market by 2020,” said Jacobi. “The upside for the cable industry is enormous, and Kaazing’s technology enables cable providers to leverage dynamic opportunities in terms of interactive, real-time collaboration so that cable viewers can use remote devices to access their media entertainment or program their DVRs from afar. Our high-performance web communication platform is imperative in facilitating such a secure, reliable, and highly scalable solution.”
As part of the conference’s innovation showcase, Kaazing will demonstrate the latest features in areas such as web collaboration, second-screen experience, and machine-to-machine (M2M) computing. Attendees will see how the company’s technology enables synchronized viewing experiences across devices, turns smart phones into remote control devices, and how the technology might be used to connect mobile and web-enabled devices with home entertainment systems, household appliances, and electric cars.
CableLabs Summer Conference 2013 runs August 11-14, and is a private conference attended by CableLabs cable operator members and demonstrating vendors. Cable Television Laboratories, Inc. (CableLabs®) is a non-profit research and development consortium that is dedicated to pursuing new cable telecommunications technologies and to helping its cable operator members integrate those technical advancements into their business objectives.
