Hart InterCivic, a leading national provider of election management and voting systems, showcases its Verity voting solution at this year’s The Election Center conference in Savannah, GA. The Verity name stands for unassailable accuracy and an authentic, user-centered experience. No other voting system in the marketplace combines modern technology features with a focus on human-centered values like usability, adaptability, and transparency. Verity devices are designed around a common, shared platform that maximizes adaptability, ease of learning, and cost-effective service over the long term.
Keeping true to Hart’s more than-100-year tradition of intuitive design, Verity is the only truly modern, all-new family of election technology in the marketplace today. Unlike other solutions that reflect marketing thinking and technology that is several years old, the Verity family of software and voting system looks forward to the decades ahead, rather than being stuck in the past. From today’s vantage point, over a decade since HAVA, Hart believes that the future of election technology will be shaped by the values of usability, adaptability, and transparency. Those are Verity values, and that’s why we believe Verity is the future of elections.
“We recently completed our pre-production pilot builds to validate all of our production processes,” said Eddie Perez, Product Manager for Verity. “We have pilot builds of Verity Scan, Verity Touch Writer, Verity Ballot Box, and the Verity Booth.”
“Verity is designed to meet uniquely modern challenges; it is truly the voting solution our industry has been searching for as we partake in the certification process,” said Phillip Braithwaite, CEO of Hart InterCivic. “Verity is currently part of the EAC [Election Assistance Commission] certification program; this summer the EAC visited Austin for two intensive days of hands-on examination of Verity’s current status.”
The Hart team continues to work towards the creation of a Test Plan that our Voting System Testing Laboratory (VSTL) will use to test Verity for compliance with the VVSG 1.0 (2005) standards. Hart expects Verity to achieve federal certification after the end of 2013.
