- Traditional bakery and confectionery craftsmanship in Russia
- Modern Bakery Moscow as the leading trade fair for confectionery and bakery
- 30 % more trade visitors -- approximately 15,000
- 243 exhibitors, of which 144 are from abroad
- New trends and topics for the future of an entire branch
The bakery and confectionery craftsmanship can look back at a history that dates back to the ancient Egyptians. Yet, regardless of how old this branch is, it still has to present itself in a creative and adaptable manner time and again. New trends and changing demands have always set the scene. At the 20th Modern Bakery, which will be hosted from 23 to 26 April 2014 in Moscow, exhibitors, trade visitors and reporters will find out which topics are important for the industry. "The 21st century also does not make an exception with such a traditional branch. Quite the contrary: Ever since it was established, the Modern Bakery has combined the concepts of tradition, innovation and modernism, thereby guaranteeing exciting and informative trade fairs," explains Bernd D. Fichtner, managing director of the trade fair organiser OWP Ost-West-Partner GmbH.
Modern Bakery Moscow -- Reflection of the Entire Branch
The Modern Bakery Moscow is the only trade fair in Russia and the CIS states that covers the entire bakery and confectionery sector, with all of its accompanying areas -- from ingredients, facilities and machines, right up to packaging materials. Here you will encounter the complete industry, from the little craftsman's business right up to large bakers, manufacturers, technologies, services and trade. Here in Moscow, international exhibitors encounter a broad professional audience from across Russia. For this reason the Modern Bakery Moscow is considered the leading trade fair for an entire branch and reflects its baking and confectionery craftsmanship.
Satisfied Exhibitors discover New Market Opportunities
In 2013, 243 exhibitors (of which 144 came from abroad) presented themselves to a broad professional audience and, based on the evaluation of an internal survey, the exhibitors stated their satisfaction with the organisation and implementation of the trade fair. Especially the market opportunities to Moscow and in the Russian regions greatly satisfied the exhibitors. Last but not least, the increase in the number of visitors, when compared to 2012, to approximately 15,000 trade fair visitors, contributed positively to the overall image.
New Topics for 2014 -- The Bakery of the 21st Century
In a globalised world, the future is continually changing, and it also makes no exception with the Modern Bakery Moscow. For this reason, apart from the traditional topics revolving around baking, the 20th Modern Bakery Moscow has expanded its portfolio for exhibitors and trade visitors. In 2014, questions pertaining to system gastronomy will be placed at the centre of attention. This includes, among others, all-in catering, ice cream, coffee, chocolate or shop fittings and store concepts. "For us as trade fair organisers, it is important to ensure we always satisfy the 'modern' claim in our trade fair logo and concept. We respond to new trends that are becoming apparent or are already asserting themselves and adapt our trade fair concept accordingly so as to present our exhibitors and trade visitors with an up-to-date and apt image of the market," Fichtner adds.
