Freudenberg IT (FIT) announces today a formal partnership with Arizona Chemical as part of Arizona Chemical’s IT optimization strategy to streamline IT operations. FIT will play a critical part in the IT strategy, helping Arizona Chemical achieve a complete infrastructure refresh and redesign that follows industry standards and best-practices.
FIT secured this key strategic position after a multi-year proven track record of IT delivery and operational excellence with Arizona Chemical. In 2008, Arizona Chemical selected FIT as their global Managed SAP Hosting provider. Lars Leuchter, Director of Global IT Infrastructure explained, “At that time, we were divested from our parent company and did not have a dedicated IT team to manage our SAP environment. We fully vetted multiple providers and selected FIT based on their extensive global expertise in SAP-certified migrations and hosting services.” Leuchter further stated, ”We have been very satisfied since then with the reliability, scalability and price-benefit ratio of FIT’s Managed SAP Hosting Services.”
In 2010, Leuchter was challenged to reduce operational costs below industry standards with the objective to continue to provide IT services at the same service level. He looked to outsource the remaining two key components of his IT department, the global IT helpdesk and Microsoft Exchange/LYNC hosting. Leuchter commented, “We needed the ability to be agile and flexible to scale up and scale down according to our business needs via an outsourced model. Furthermore, we were migrating from another email platform to Microsoft Exchange and needed the expertise for the migration and on-going maintenance. The transition to FIT´s global helpdesk occurred within two weeks of the contract signature date. The process was accelerated due to the well-established partnership that was already developed between FIT and Arizona Chemical.”
President & CEO of FIT America, Michael Heuberger, commented, “We appreciate the trust that Arizona Chemical has placed in us to maintain and run their mission-critical environments and global IT helpdesk. We have a leveraged model that works well for our 350+ SAP customers. Our services enable our customers to optimize their IT departments with improved performance. We are pleased to be a critical part of Arizona Chemical’s successful IT strategy.”
