Strategic Decisions Group (SDG) is now accepting registrants for its first free Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) titled “DQ101: Introduction to Decision Quality.” The five-week course, led by SDG partner and Stanford Decision and Risk Management Certificate Program Director Carl Spetzler, will run Oct. 21 through Nov. 22 and teach students the consulting firm’s renowned Decision Quality (DQ) business approach.
An invaluable business tool for leading global corporations, DQ is a practical and highly effective method of decision-making that improves the quality and speed of strategic decisions. Course participants will work in teams to experience the DQ approach and learn to improve their decision-making processes, apply sound reasoning, and obtain lasting commit to action.
“It’s a real challenge to make the best decision in face of uncertainty and in collaboration with individuals that may have conflicting views,” said Dr. Spetzler. “The benefit of DQ is huge: making better business decisions shows an average payoff of 600:1.”
The course will be offered online through NovoEd, which provides numerous online classes taught by Stanford professors and affiliates. To learn more about the SDG course and to register, please visit https://novoed.com/DQ101.
