DALLAS, Aug. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Attorney Zach Herbert, a Dallas Personal Injury Attorney at Eberstein & Witherite, LLP continues his service to his fellow veterans through his pro bono work with the Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program.
The program offers free representation to veterans and family members that have been denied disability claims by the VA. The program trains volunteer attorneys to represent the veteran before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Many of these cases involve veterans that have extensive injuries related to their service to our country. Some have developed life-threatening diseases, such as cancer, from their exposure to toxic substances while serving at home and abroad. To date, the program has secured over $60.8 million in total legal services donated.
Zach Herbert served for three and a half years on active duty as a Marine Corps Judge Advocate, or lawyer. He is currently a Captain in the Marine Corps Reserves. While on active duty, Captain Herbert was assigned to the Disability Evaluation Services Branch as a Disability Attorney. During this tour, Captain Herbert assisted wounded, ill, and injured Marines and Sailors in navigating a myriad of legal, medical, and fiscal issues through initial diagnosis to final fitness determination. The Camp Lejeune, NC Disability Attorney office handled over 1800 clients per year from five installations on the East Coast of the United States. Captain Herbert's exceptional competence, consistent superior performance of duty, and total dedication to his clients earned him recognition within the Marine Corps community.
Zach now continues his service to veterans through his volunteer work. His knowledge and experience as a Disability Attorney directly benefits the veterans he represents before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. He hopes to guide his clients through the incredibly complex Veterans Disability laws in order to achieve great results for his veterans.
The Dallas Accident Lawyers at Eberstein & Witherite support Zach in his efforts to serve his country and his fellow veterans and are proud to work alongside such a dedicated Marine.
