"The goal of the contest is to recognize and reward creative excellence in utility advertising," says Kym Wootton, senior manager of Marketing & Communications for E Source. "The creativity and quality of the ads this year were outstanding, head and shoulders above last year's entries," says Lucia Riley, creative and brand manager for the SAS Institute and one of the independent judges who reviewed and scored the entries based on message, creativity, memorability, and results. "I found myself watching many of the spots repeatedly just for enjoyment, and I couldn't choose a clear winner in several categories. Bravo to the contestants!"

A new category was introduced this year, the "Crowd Pleaser," which is based on peer recognition. Facebook users can vote by "liking" their favorite print advertisement on the E Source Facebook page. The contest closes on August 30, so vote for your favorite now!

The winners in all categories will be announced at an awards luncheon on Thursday, September 19, 2013, at the Westin Denver Downtown during the 26th Annual E Source Forum. At the awards ceremony, E Source will also be honoring the top-performing utility companies from several E Source benchmarking studies.
