Hart InterCivic announced today that it will continue to support Karnes County, Texas with the county’s purchase of the Hart Voting System (HVS). Karnes County has been a Hart customer since 2010 with the successful implementation of Hart’s ePollBook, and added Hart’s Absentee Processing System in 2012. The HVS equipment will replace outdated and cumbersome voting technology.
“We’ve been thoroughly impressed with Hart’s consistent attention to detail and overall customer service,” said Karnes County Clerk Carol Swize. “Lowering Karnes County’s total cost of ownership and increased portability were additional motivations to purchase the Hart Voting System.”
“Karnes County recently created an Elections Administrator position, and Hart immediately welcomed me into the elections family,” said Karnes County Elections Administrator Karen Opiela. “I look forward to the great support and service they will offer us for our first election with the Hart Voting System, and in the future.”
“We are very proud Karnes County has selected the Hart Voting System,” said Derek Hutson, Hart InterCivic President. “The quality of our customer support, superior technology and lower total cost of ownership provide jurisdictions the best option for their election needs.”
Karnes County will implement its first use of the Hart Voting System during the statewide Constitutional Amendment Election on November 5, 2013.
