ReachLocal, Inc. (NASDAQ:RLOC), a leader in local online marketing and commerce solutions for small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), today announced it has added MerchantCircle.com, one of the biggest online networks of local business owners, to its ReachCommerce booking network. Beginning in Q4 2013, ReachLocal will be MerchantCircle’s preferred partner for online booking in home services, and ReachCommerce SaaS platform users will be able to automatically integrate booking functionality into their MerchantCircle profiles. The ReachCommerce booking widget will simplify scheduling for customers and merchants alike by allowing MerchantCircle visitors to book appointments directly through the site, which boasts over 1.5 million member merchants and 10 million monthly local consumer visits, according to Omniture data.
“MerchantCircle is focused on connecting consumers with highly qualified local merchants, and we’re pleased to partner with ReachLocal to help power those connections,” said Mike Wienick, VP, Reply! Inc. and GM, MerchantCircle.
“By partnering with MerchantCircle, ReachLocal is continuing to deliver on our mission to improve the local commerce experience by building a robust booking network for consumers to easily schedule appointments with merchants,” said Jason Whitt, SVP corporate and business development at ReachLocal. “ReachCommerce is a transformative platform that is helping home services merchants digitize their businesses so they can compete in the online marketplace.”
ReachCommerce provides SMBs with a SaaS management platform to automate and digitize their entire customer experience, all back-office operations, and marketing activities. ReachCommerce allows business operators to build and manage schedules, assign and track technicians, communicate with customers, generate estimates and invoices, process payments, and provide business intelligence and reporting. Local service providers may use the system on their desktops and mobile tablets for everything related to online booking (appointment setting, scheduling, and notification) and buying (estimating, invoicing, and paying) to optimize operations and deliver a better customer experience.
