If you love reading but find yourself wasting money by buying books you never finish, you’ll want to check out Oyster, which is like Netflix for books. For $9.95 a month, you get unlimited access to over 100,000 titles, with more being added each day. The app was created to make the process of finding and reading books easier than it’s ever been. You won’t have to worry whether a book is worth $12.99 –just start reading it and see if it grabs your attention. The app is built around discovery: it has a social feature so you can see what your friends are reading, and each book has a “related” tab to show you similar titles. The more you read, the smarter Oyster’s algorithms become, and the better recommendations it generates. An iPad version is in the works to be released this fall, but the app is only on iPhone for now. If endless reading for less than ten bucks a month is up your alley, you can request an invite to the service at OysterBooks.com.
