Along with a new website, TCEU CUPE Local 416 introduced a new social media campaign today paying tribute to its hard working members. For the next 12 weeks, the campaign will feature each of the union's 12 divisions, focusing on the specific jobs the Toronto Civic Employees do and the benefits they provide to the community.
"We want to give our members the thanks they deserve for their hard work," said CUPE Local 416 Vice President, Dave Hewitt. "They do a lot for the community and we want to expose that."
The campaign kicks off this week with a tribute to EMS (Emergency Medical Services) members and will continue with tributes to Water / Wastewater, Animal Services, Parks and Recreation, Solid Waste Management, Toronto Parking Authority, Transportation Services,Yorktown Family Services, Corporate Services, Toronto Community Housing, Port Authority and Enwave divisions.
