NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 09/17/13 -- Piksel, a global provider of 'over-the-top' video monetization software and solutions, launched at IBC 2013 to a warm reception. With a colorful demo-friendly booth and IBC's most buzzed about party attended by hundreds of industry executives, Piksel made its mark on Europe's premier broadcast industry event.
"Debuting at IBC was a great opportunity to share who Piksel is and what we can do for our customers. Our booth was laid out in a way that highlighted each of our core solutions areas, and as one of our customers told me after visiting our booth, they were impressed to learn of the breadth of services and depth of expertise in our people that deliver our OTT/multi-screen solutions. The fact we have a design, build, manage approach, gives confidence to customers of strong capability in all areas of video solutions. This gives us the ability to help maximize the reach and return on their video investments and introduce them to new opportunities and solutions," said Kevin Joyce, Piksel's Chief Commercial Officer.
The booth highlighted the successes of Piksel's customers including Sky Italia, Channel 4 and Horizon TV, with product demonstrations of the Piksel OVP solutions, Piksel VCMS and 2Si. On the booth during the show, Piksel formalized their partnership with Olympusat Telecom as a reseller of Piksel OVP in the Americas market.
Piksel also provided valuable insight to the industry with panelists at the Second Screen Sunday conference. Alan Wolk, Piksel's Global Lead Analyst moderated a panel on brand strategies for the second screen while Product Manager - Second Screen, Miles Weaver, joined a panel discussing how 2nd screen is driving bespoke content creation.
