Courion® Corporation, a leading authority in intelligent identity and access management (IAM), today announced that veteran marketing executive Doug Mow has joined the company as chief marketing officer.
Mow, who has led successful marketing efforts for both private and public technology companies, will be responsible for Courion’s global marketing programs, including demand generation, corporate communications and product marketing.
Mow most recently was senior vice president of marketing for Velocity Technology Solutions, a $90 million provider of ERP hosting services, where he was responsible for corporate marketing and branding, strategic alliances, product marketing and sales. Prior to Velocity, he was SVP of marketing at global IT services company Virtusa, where he led the initiative to rebrand the company. He also helped shape Virtusa’s strategy on helping companies renovate their customers’ experiences to meet the demands of the millennial generation. Mow previously held executive positions at Qwest Communications and NaviSite Inc.
“Doug specializes in building and leading global marketing organizations,” said Christopher Zannetos, president and CEO of Courion. “His brand development expertise will help accelerate our growth and increase Courion’s leadership position. He comes to Courion with proven credentials, and has insight into the risks that are proliferating as organizations wrestle with the risks associated with providing access to enterprise systems.”
To address these growing needs, Mow will help promote Courion’s Intelligent IAM suite, a comprehensive platform which streamlines the user provisioning process, helps meet compliance and regulatory requirements, and manages access risk with the help of business intelligence technology and big data. From provisioning to role management and governance to real-time identity and access intelligence (IAI), the suite enables organizations to analyze risk and take actionable steps to reduce it.
“I’m thrilled to be working with the Courion team,” said Mow. “In today’s networked world, every organization faces the need to provide a degree of access to their systems. This reality poses substantial challenges to balance security and flexibility. Courion addresses these challenges today and is uniquely positioned with an advanced vision for the future. I’m energized by my colleagues and looking forward to making a significant contribution to the company, our customers and our shareholders.”
Mow began his career in direct and channel sales and holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing from Cornell University.
With deep experience and more than 10 million users at nearly 600 corporations, Courion is the market leader in Identity and Access Management (IAM), from provisioning to governance to Identity and Access Intelligence (IAI).
