PeopleAnswers and New York & Company, Inc. (NYSE: NWY), today announced a software licensing agreement for the specialty apparel chain with more than 500 stores nationwide to use the PeopleAnswers HR-focused business solution to recommend employee candidates who can guide their customers to make smart fashion purchase decisions.

New York & Company will use the intuitive, cloud-based PeopleAnswers software on its desktop and mobile platforms to evaluate, select and hire for all store positions. Starting initially with 200 store locations, the rollout will include district leaders, store leaders, assistant managers and sales associates. The company plans to ultimately expand to all stores upon proven success of this 200-store launch.

The unique ability to compare candidates with multiple profiles to determine a future career path helps hiring managers select the candidates with the highest chance for long-term success.
New York & Company will now have a consistent employee selection process across all stores that will result in better quality hiring decisions while also helping managers work more efficiently. The valuable data gathered during the hiring process will also be critical in onboarding, and for identifying and developing employees to progress to other positions within the company.
