GREENVILLE, S.C., Sept. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Net3 Technology, Inc., a leading provider of cloud-based managed services and data center platforms, giving customers individualized assessments to ensure companies are provided with the most effective solution, today announced the release of its Business Recovery as a Service (BRaaS), designed to provide customers with a self-service, failover/failback solution for virtual machine (VM) workloads. This new service allows Net3's customers full discretion and control over their ability to replicate workloads between any of the Palmetto Virtual Data Centers (PvDC).
"Today there are a number of factors, such as natural disasters, cyber attacks, and physical asset failures, that make every company extremely vulnerable to disruption," said Bryan Rice, founding partner and CTO of Net3 Technology. "We understand how important business continuity is to an enterprise's success, as any downtime can be extremely costly. That is why this new service ensures customers' speed of recovery is within minutes rather than hours or days."
A unique feature of Net3's new service gives the user full control over the disaster recovery (DR) process of critical business operations for virtualized IT and cloud environments, and seamlessly integrates with VMware's vCloud Suite® product solutions. It natively works at the client site and communicates with the chosen data center, which in turn ensures the Recovery Time Objective (RTO) can be completed in under five minutes, and the Recovery Point Objective (RPO) can be scaled up to five days of checkpoint history. Naturally, Net3's team of experts is available to assist when needed, though customers will love their spot in the driver's seat, granting them much faster solutions and allowing their business continuity and disaster recovery to keep pace with ongoing production changes at a much lower cost.
"We love the new level of control offered by Net3's business continuity and recovery services," said Brian Green, IT manager with JPS Composite Materials. "The quick failover process and easy customization are great assets in the administration of our virtual machines to replicate from our own management sites to our chosen data center. The ability to easily modify our recovery solution according to our specific business needs within our budget allows us to respond to operational risks and business disruptions without worry."
