September is no exception as Turkish Cultural Heritage Month is underway, and the 11th Annual Turkish Festival is set to culminate the event Sunday, September 29 on Pennsylvania Avenue.
This year's event, set to be held in the city center, just two blocks from the White House, is themed "Explore the Wonders of Turkey in DC," and the Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel invites guests to discover the many wonders of the Turkish culture and explore works of the many artists who will be on hand for the festival. The Turkish Festival will include eight hours of non-stop live dancing and musical performances by locally and internationally acclaimed groups; a look into the Turkish Bazaar Culture as more than 25 vendors offer authentic Turkish wares; culture and tourism activities; a tantalizing food court; fortune telling, and kids tent activities.
