PARIS, October 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ModeLabs Group (code "MDL", code ISIN : FR0010060665), the creator of customised mobiles (CDM - Customized Design Manufacturer), today announced the appointment of Serge Simon as a VP Sales EMEA "Mobile On Demand (TM)". This appointment is made as the group expands its "Mobile On Demand (TM)" business, with the firm intention of establishing itself as the leading CDM (Customized Design Manufacturers).

On the back of over 10 years' experience in mobile phones, Serge Simon's mission is to boost the "Mobile On Demand (TM)" business with operators, MVNOs, distributors and major brands in Europe.

Serge Simon's career started in 1991 at GEC ALSTHOM TRANSPORT as head of purchasing. In June 1996, he joined ALCATEL MOBILE PHONES as head of the purchasing group then was appointed to head of sales in 1999, first as Global Account Director in charge of a leading European operator then as marketing director of ALCATEL MOBILE PHONES UK in 2002. Early in 2003, he joined LG France as Global Account Director before being appointed Mobile Division Director in June 2003, where he launched the mobile phone business and set up the commercial structure and strategy that has now proved itself.

Serge Simon, 40, has a Masters in Electronics (University of Sciences, Bordeaux), a post-graduate degree in Industrial Procurement of Electronic Components (AICE in French) and a diploma in Industrial Purchasing Management (Bordeaux Business School). He also has a post-graduate degree in Business Administration (Bordeaux Institute of Business Administration).
