Brother Mobile Solutions, Inc. (BMS) a wholly-owned subsidiary of Brother International Corporation and premier provider of products for mobile workforces, today announced it will team with Panasonic System Communications Company of North America to offer field-tested, fully integrated mobility solutions to select vertical markets. Panasonic System’s mobile computing devices are widely used by police, military, fire and emergency personnel and other mission-critical agencies where high performance and reliability are paramount.
Under the agreement, Brother Mobile Solutions will provide custom, field-ready bundles for the Brother™ PocketJet® 6 full-page mobile printer and the RuggedJet™ 4” thermal printer. The solutions represent best-in-class technology for mobile field workers and help ease pressure on IT decision makers tasked with selecting devices that integrate and perform together well.
“The use of mobile technology has gained significant momentum in the public safety, field service and insurance sectors as industry professionals seek products and solutions to help become more productive, lower operating costs, gain a competitive advantage and achieve system-wide efficiencies,” said Dave Crist, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Brother Mobile Solutions, Inc. “This relationship with Panasonic helps ensure that mobile computing and print solutions will integrate seamlessly in the field to meet the specific challenges of these rapidly evolving markets.”
Solutions pair Panasonic Toughbook® and Toughpad™ mobile computers and tablets – devices known for their durability, reliability and low total cost of ownership – with the market leading PocketJet® 6 full-page printers, or IP54 rated RuggedJet™ 4” thermal printers from Brother™. Bundles include a corresponding array of printer accessories or mounts for the specific field application.
“The proliferation of mobile technologies has dramatically increased the challenge for decision-makers who strive to identify the best combination of devices to meet their field workforce needs.” said Joe Martin, Director Vertical Strategy for Panasonic System Communications Company of North America. “Our collaboration with Brother Mobile Solutions simplifies the decision making process for them, and more importantly, adds a level of assurance that the computer and print solution will function reliably in the field environment for which it is intended.”
