Interesting article. I think the Cloud services and cloud infrastructure lines are a bit blurred, but I agree with most of what you are saying.
Dont underestimate the SLA's role in accountability. For companies that have dynamic requirements and no down time can be afforded, make sure you have very tight SLAs. For example, OpSource provides a 100% SLA in the cloud and 100%SLA around production application environments. Now 100% is ideally perfect, it comes down to accountability, yo...
WIXOM, MI -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 10/11/06 -- Inalfa Sunroofs, LLC is pleased to announce the
appointment of Roadwire as Inalfa Sunroofs manufacturer's representative to
market and sell Inalfa Sunroofs products within the North American
Restyling industry, effective November 1, 2006. Dennis Samfilippo, Inalfa
Sunroofs CEO, stated, "The appointment of Roadwire is consistent with our
worldwide sales expansion strategy. We are currently expanding our global
market penetration by replacing our direct sales force with sales rep
agencies. Utilizing Roadwire for our North American sales representation
takes us from three sales people to nine sales people, effectively tripling
our sales contact capability while improving customer service and
communication." Roadwire will handle all field sales contact and marketing
for the restyling sales channel within the United States and Canada.
Mr. Samfilippo added, "The opportunity to combine forces with an industry
leader like Roadwire helps broaden and strengthen our market channel while
creating new and incremental profit opportunities for our core customers
and their dealers."
While Roadwire will maintain the customer sales contact, Inalfa Sunroofs
will continue to provide all sunroof technical service and training
support. It will also maintain the customers' commercial relationship
through processing the customer orders, shipping, invoicing, collections
and warranty.
Tom Corton and Kevin Conover, current Inalfa Sunroof regional salesmen,
will be hired by Roadwire and will help in the sales transition while
largely maintaining their existing sales territories. Inalfa Sunroofs
national accounts will continue to be serviced in-house by Bob Maurer.
"Our new sales relationship with Inalfa Sunroofs will really expand their
aftermarket presence. One focused sales team providing sunroof/leather and
electronics packages will provide our customers with a real competitive
advantage," said Dave Taylor, National Sales Manager for Roadwire.
"The expansion of our sales relationship with Roadwire represents a big
step in the right direction. This move enables us to focus all of our
energy and efforts on developing new products, upgrading existing product,
and increasing manufacturing capacity. We are very confident in Roadwire's
sales-driven ambitions and believe that growth in market share will be a
natural result of this relationship," added Dennis Samfilippo.
"The combination of leather, sunroof and DVD products gives Roadwire a real
opportunity to help our Restylers grow their aftermarket business. Our
strategy allows Restylers to buy at deeper discounts and save on inventory
costs and freight expenses while making it easier to purchase a broad line
of aftermarket products. This translates into savings that drop right to
their bottom lines. Our #1 goal at Roadwire is to help Restylers become
more profitable and as they do the Aftermarket Industry as a whole becomes
healthier. Roadwire can help Restylers become more profitable by becoming
the premier one-stop shop for Restylers across the nation. We understand
that our marketplace is extremely competitive. We believe that the
combination of an aggressive Sales Team, world class Customer Service, and
top quality Inalfa products offers our Restylers the best chance of
success," stated Aaron Forrister, President of Roadwire.
