Vigilent, which was previously located in El Cerrito, will celebrate its move with a ribbon-cutting ceremony presided over by Oakland Mayor Jean Quan on November 7.
“Oakland lured us with its vibrant downtown atmosphere, great access to an international airport, and convenient public transportation,” said Mark Housley, Vigilent CEO. “With growing recognition as an emerging high-tech hotspot and access to a large base of technology professionals, Oakland is the perfect launching pad for our continued growth. And it didn’t hurt that our new building is literally green!”
“We are excited to welcome Vigilent to our city,” said Oakland Mayor Jean Quan. “Vigilent is the latest in a growing stream of leading technology companies – including Pandora, Minted, Ask.com, and Clef – that have located here to take advantage of the energy and urban amenities that Oakland has to offer, while adding new high tech jobs in the city.”
