Improving the Efficiency of SOA-Based Applications
jhv1blz5 wrote: The article validated SOA as an IT architecture paradigm that can be leveraged in many ways. Taking data storage, scalability and application performance to a nifty level using SOA Application Grid infrastructure will no doubt enhance data and application performance on Oracle architecture platforms, it also has the promise of a cost effective and efficient IT delivery model. The very benefits of SOA.

AgileDelta, Inc. Offers Free 30-Day Evaluation Download of Efficient XML Software and Tools
Kit Includes Efficient XML Codec Plus an Array of Developer Tools to Make XML Documents Small and Fast

By: PR Newswire
Oct. 16, 2006 04:25 PM

BELLEVUE, Wash., Oct. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- AgileDelta(TM), Inc., the leading provider of software that enables lightning-fast delivery of information to remote, mobile and embedded devices at the edge of wireless networks, today announced the availability of a free 30-day evaluation download of its recently released Efficient XML(TM) 2.0 software.

Efficient XML is a codec that, unlike data compression, encodes and decodes XML using a lightning-fast binary XML format that results in documents that are frequently over 100 times smaller and transmits over 100 times faster than XML. These speed and size improvements create tremendous opportunities for getting rich web data onto devices such as smart phones and PDAs that are typically limited by bandwidth, memory, processing power and battery life. The Efficient XML codec can be embedded in an application or can be installed directly on both sending and receiving devices that will share XML documents and data.

The Evaluation Kit includes the Efficient XML codec for Java SE/EE and Java ME, and a command line interface so that anyone who downloads the kit can easily test the speed and size improvements of Efficient XML by following the step-by-step instructions in the setup guide. Also included are tools to help developers build and test solutions using Efficient XML, including popular XML application interfaces such as DOM, SAX, JAXP, and StAX. A schema compiler is provided to compile XML schemas into a format more easily utilized by the APIs to increase processing speed and reduce the size of the schemas.

"We're excited to make Efficient XML broadly available for evaluation," said Doug Martin, AgileDelta's Vice President of Marketing. "This evaluation software is designed for developers, business analysts, project managers, IT managers, or anyone that would like to send XML data and documents to users of smart phones, PDAs and other mobile or remote devices. By following the setup guide included with the software, anyone can install and test Efficient XML's performance on XML documents of any size."

Efficient XML works with a wide variety of data parsers and can be integrated directly into an application, or installed on a server with a proxy to work with existing applications. Versions are available for Java Standard and Mobile platforms, and Microsoft's .NET Standard and Compact Framework platforms will soon be released. Pricing and licensing information for Efficient XML and the Efficient XML Software Development Kit are available by contacting AgileDelta at info@agiledelta.com calling +1-425-644-7122.
