DENVER, Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Indigio is pleased to announce the launch of the comprehensive redesign of the Denver Post website -- http://www.denverpost.com/. The new site, launched October 14, 2006, follows extensive research that had been compiled to capture industry best practices that will be instrumental to increasing page views, retention and advertising revenue for the electronic newspaper.
In development since August, the redesigned site offers multiple user-based enhancements, such as a fully categorized home page and tab-based navigation that allows quicker movement to different areas of interest for the online visitor, the ability to click on other related articles within each page, and better organization and placement of various page components.
"Indigio has been thrilled to play such a critical role in the development, redesign and launch of this new site. This project has been so important to us because the Denver Post is a site that our community depends on everyday for the latest news, featured articles, sports updates, and community relations. It's not often that you get to work on a project that not only benefits the success of your company but also helps improve your daily life," says Dean Burney, Indigio Creative Director.
Accompanied by a new look & feel, users will also benefit from other modifications that include an increased page size for today's higher resolution monitors and less advertising clutter, which makes the site aesthetically pleasing for users to enjoy viewing on a daily basis.
"It has been a great experience working with Indigio on the redesign of DenverPost.com," says Mark Cardwell, Denver Post Managing Editor for Digital Media. "The folks at Indigio were able to take our concepts and vision, accompanied by their industry best practices, and create a website that is compelling and easy to use in short order."
