The company will launch Global Sources Gifts & Premiums Online ( http://www.gifts.globalsources.com/ ) and Home Products Online ( http://www.homeproducts.globalsources.com/ ) in January 2007, and the respective magazines in February.

Global Sources Chairman and CEO, Merle A. Hinrichs, said: "We will develop these two specialized verticals from our highly successful Gifts & Home Products, which has been serving the global trade community for over 24 years.

"The two more tightly focused websites and magazines will help suppliers reach exactly the volume buyers who need to source gifts, premiums and home products.

"The sourcing and export opportunities in these sectors are immense. For example, mainland China's game and hobby product exports were US$6.8 billion in 2005 -- up 76 percent year-on-year. Exports of furniture were nearly US$11 billion last year -- up 37 percent."

Inaugural Gifts & Premiums and Home Products Verticals Set to Offer 158,000 Buyers More Suppliers

The company expects the Gifts & Premiums website and magazine to reach 63,000 pre-qualified buyers. The content will cover China product and sourcing information for: stationery and office equipment; games and hobby supplies; promotional products; gifts and collectibles; holiday decorations; and party supplies.

The Home Products vertical is set to serve more than 95,000 pre-qualified buyers. The content will cover furniture; furnishings; household and kitchen appliances; household supplies; tableware; kitchenware; pet supplies; sporting goods; health and medical products; personal care items; camping and leisure products; and food and beverages.

Hinrichs said: "The two new verticals will offer buyers more pre-screened quality suppliers. Offering buyers quality suppliers is our priority. Our team has 35 years of experience identifying quality suppliers and reporting on their capabilities. We conduct on-site factory visits and face-to-face interviews with leading and up-and-coming suppliers throughout China and Asia.

"In addition to the new magazines and websites, we help bring buyers and suppliers together face-to-face in Hong Kong and, starting next year, in Dubai at our China Sourcing Fair: Gifts & Home Products."

When applications are hosted on servers, they produce immense quantities of logging data.
