Pacific Specialty Insurance Company CEO to Speak at Analytics for Insurance USA Conference

MENLO PARK, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 12/03/13 -- How can insurers, agents and brokers incorporate data analytics into their day-to-day operations?

Brian S. Cohen, president and CEO of Pacific Specialty Insurance Company and the former chief marketing officer of Farmers Insurance Group, will speak on that topic at Analytics for Insurance USA on March 19-20, 2014 in Chicago. He'll lead an interactive session detailing the process and tools insurance executives can use to integrate data analytics into their operations for maximum results.

"The challenge for many companies is overcoming their natural inclination to be intimidated by the perceived complexity of building a successful data-driven strategy," Cohen says. "Once you get beyond the fancy vocabulary, a good data-driven strategy requires operating executives to understand the data they want to analyze."

The conference focuses on using analytics to accelerate underwriting, pricing and claims functions to understand customers, improve decision-making and reduce risk exposure.

Based in Menlo Park, Calif., Pacific Specialty serves individuals and small-business owners with specialty and general policies, including homeowners insurance, recreational vehicle insurance, motorcycle insurance and business insurance. It is represented by independent insurance agents and brokers that give customers personal counseling and a choice of competitive carriers. Admitted in all states, it is rated A (Excellent) for financial strength by A.M. Best Co. It was recently named to the 2013 Ward's 50 list of top-performing insurance companies for the third year in a row.
