OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 12/04/13 -- In true holiday spirit, local entrepreneur Steven Martel confirmed a $34,000 donation to Youville Centre in Ottawa through his charitable foundation Martel Alliance. Steven visited Youville Centre in June 2013 and he was moved by their efforts and results. As a father of three, coach, and entrepreneur, Steven believes mental health is a crucial aspect of life: "A positive mental attitude is the highest form of success anyone can achieve. It is the greatest gift of all." His charitable foundation will make the donation to support Youville Centre mental health services.
Cindy Simpson, Youville Centre's Executive Director, will accept the donation on December 19th, 2013. "When I heard the news of Mr. Martel's overwhelming gift to our young moms and children, it confirmed my belief that angels do exist in our Ottawa community. This donation will go to support Youville Centre's mental health counseling services. With this philanthropic gesture, Martel Alliance is helping to provide our young mothers with the building blocks they need to create a brighter future for themselves and their children."
Mr. Martel's $34,000 donation will be used to support mental health counseling at the Youville Centre, an essential component of the services provided to fulfill its mandate to: "educate, motivate and nurture young mothers and their children to become self-sufficient, contributing members of society".
