NEW YORK, Dec. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Richard Bernstein Advisors LLC (RBA), an investment firm run by former Merrill Lynch Chief Investment Strategist Rich Bernstein, announced that its assets under management and advisement had eclipsed two billion dollars – more than doubling since December, 2012. The firm is unique in that it combines a highly proprietary "top-down" macro approach to investing with quantitative asset selection. RBA manages portfolios geared to global asset allocation, global equity allocation, income allocation, and undiscovered investment themes.
In addition, the firm announced that the Eaton Vance Richard Bernstein Equity Strategy Fund celebrated its three year anniversary, a widely recognized milestone for mutual fund performance.
"Having been a sell-side strategist, it is rewarding to make such a successful transition to portfolio management," noted Rich Bernstein. "The key has been both the breadth and depth of our proprietary 'top-down' research, which allows us to uncover opportunities despite the very uncertain environment of the past several years."
John McCombe, RBA's President added – "Rich and the investment team have made a number of key allocations dating back to 2010. RBA was among the first investors favoring the United States equity market versus emerging markets, the American industrial renaissance theme, and US small cap stocks. These non-consensus themes have driven performance and growth across all of our products."
