Castlight Pictures Secures Worldwide Rights To Shipwreck Survivor Harrison Okene's Harrowing Story

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Worldwide rights to the incredible story of shipwreck survivor Harrison Okene have been secured by Mark Edwin Robinson and Dave Robinson of Castlight Pictures.  This remarkable story was detailed yesterday in the leaked footage of the miraculous deep-sea rescue operation shot from the helmet cameras of a specialized diving team.  The video took the internet and news outlets by storm, detailing the extraordinary survival story of Okene who was trapped at the bottom of the ocean in the belly of a shipwrecked vessel for nearly 60 hours.

"We have been completely captivated by this story for months now while working with Harrison, the intricate details of how this played out are so much more complex and phenomenal than anything that's been reported thus far.  The footage is just a glimpse of what happened, and we're preparing to take this out to studios and financiers to tell the whole story from the perspective of those who were directly involved," said Mark Edwin Robinson.

Deep sea divers were sent down on a retrieval operation to recover the bodies of those who had perished in the shipwreck, only to find Okene alive deep within the ship, 120 feet below the ocean surface.  Okene had miraculously survived in a 4 foot air pocket for almost three days before the daring rescue took place.  The dramatic footage of the rescue was caught on tape from the diver's helmet camera, and a few minutes of that footage was leaked to web and news outlets yesterday.

"I feel strongly that this is an important story to tell, and am happy to be working with Mark and David," said survivor Harrison Okene

Mark Edwin Robinson is repped by Joe Riley of Velocity Entertainment Partners, and Shelley Surpin of Surpin-Mayersohn, LLP.
