CHICAGO, Dec. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Before committing to a lease, the majority of renters consult consumer reviews during their apartment search to help make informed decisions. Apartments.com will further enhance the robust review offerings on its site on Dec. 10, 2013 by partnering with RentAdvisor to roll out a fully integrated review management solution as a benefit for mutual clients.
"As the apartment rentals category leader, we listen to feedback from renters and answer their needs by integrating innovative products and technology to simplify the process of choosing a place to live. That's why we were the first major apartment Internet Listing Service (ILS) to offer renters the option of posting and reading reviews directly on our site," said Dick Burke, president of Apartments.com. "RentAdvisor is a review platform provider that will post additional high-quality renter review content to Apartments.com, so renters can make even more informed decision when choosing a place to live.
Apartments.com is also the first apartment ILS to completely integrate RentAdvisor features available to customers, which will greatly enhance online reputation management capabilities. Not only will customers be able to distribute RentAdvisor review content directly to their Apartments.com listings, they will also have access to a dashboard where they can monitor all of the review content that renters have posted to Apartments.com. Additionally, RentAdvisor will allow customers to post comments for new and existing reviews on Apartments.com, directly through the dashboard. Unlike some other websites with apartment community reviews, property managers, owners and leasing staff are not required to pay to respond to reviews.
"Our primary focus at RentAdvisor is to help multifamily properties generate a high volume of genuine, thoughtful renter reviews. As the market leader in apartment rental listings, Apartments.com will help get those high quality reviews in front of millions of prospective and current renters," said Robert Turnbull, president and co-founder of RentAdvisor. "We are also thrilled that Apartments.com is the first apartment ILS that completely integrates our full reputation management solution. This will allow their customers to effectively and seamlessly monitor, respond to and manage renter reviews."
RentAdvisor will be fully integrated with Apartments.com on Dec. 10. Reviews will begin appearing on Apartments.com in mid-December, if a customer opts to have the reviews forwarded to the site. Customers may opt-out of having their RentAdvisor reviews distributed to Apartments.com, if they wish.
