Social media monitoring and analytics firm Engagor and government market distributor Winvale have partnered to offer social media services to government agencies at the federal, state and local levels.
Winvale will make Engagor's customer engagement platform available to agencies on a General Services Administration information technology contract vehicle, the companies said Thursday.
“Whether it’s interacting directly with constituents on Twitter and Facebook or monitoring geographic sentiment around a piece of legislation, social media is becoming a game-changer in government and politics," said Folke Lemaitre, founder and CEO of Engagor.
"It is imperative for government agencies to start acting like enterprises and embrace social media as part of their business."
Engagor's platform works to monitor social Web sources in more than 180 languages and combine social analytics, engagement, CRM and team management functions.
